I stayed in Cape Town for two and half months in 2004. The first two weeks I stayed with a host family which School of English in Cape Town provided. To be honest, this host family really sucked. The woman barely knew how to cook and I felt sometimes really lonely there. After these two horrible weeks I met a really nice German boy, name Benjamin. He told me to come over to Helene´s house and stay there because there was a spare room for me which actually happened to be a small apartment in her garden with a private shower, TV and a kitchen.

The first day I moved into Helene´s house she took us out that night and showed us the nightlife. After that the party was started and I went out almost every night.

I worked as a volunteer for only two weeks but after that I bought myself a surfboard. Surfing took so much time so I didn´t have time for this volunteer work.

There are so many things you can do in Cape Town. I went to a safari trip for three weeks, bunji jumping, Skydiving and surfed almost everyday in all these beaches around Cape Town.

Feel free to contact me for any questions.
